Let me start off by telling you I got some cardeo in yesterday. Here are the stats.
Duration 20 minutes
Minimum HR -> 87
Average HR -> 127
Maximum HR -> 157
Calories burned -> 280
I found a DVD after R&D (my company from Virginia) left last time and they are due back today so I thought I'd give it a try in case they asked. It was a free DVD from McDonald's that comes with adult happy meals. Or came with, I don't know if they are still doing it or not because we don't have one around here. It is a 15 minute work out but I strapped the HRM on before I started it and kept it on until I had cooled down, thus the 20 minutes. It was pretty fun but I know this will get boring too in time.
To answer a couple of questions:
1. I can't believe the hummers are getting on my nerves either as excited as I was when they arrived. I guess it's kind of like when you have kids. You are used to yours and when you have a birthday party and there are lots and lots more of them they get on your nerves.
2. Annoyed isn't the word for the way I feel when the power goes off. Pissed is more like it. It happened a lot when we first moved up here and after a year it quit. Now in the past year it has been happening a lot again. I think it must be the equipment getting old or something. When I called to report it this time they said it was out in the whole county so that tells me that they had a main station problem. This time the lights dimmed about 20 times within a half hour before it went off all together. I figured it was coming. It wouldn't bother me so much if it happened in the daylight hours, but noooooo it's gotta go off at night when there is no light to see to do anything and I'm not able to watch TV (my only evening companion).
And speaking of hot dogs...oh, I wasn't was I? Anyway, have you tried the new fat-free beef franks. They are only 50 calories for one frank and they are pretty good.
I know I ranted and raved about the "Warm Delights" commercials a couple of months ago but now I'm wondering about the new commercials for the "Warm Delights Mini's." They are saying they are only 150 calories for one. I sure do get a hankerin' for chocolate once in a while and wonder if I should get some of them to keep on hand when that hankerin' gets out of control. Something to ponder for a while at least.
Have a great weekend, friends.

Well, I'm REALLY glad to hear you got 20 minutes of cardio in!!! Way to go.
Hey, you never said how the cable modem thing went. Did the phone guy come by???
Oh, yea, I love those fat-free beef hot dogs. They remind me of WV hot dogs, so skinny and beefy. I made pig-in-a-blankets with the reduced fat crescent rolls and they were SO yummy. Each one ended up being 3 points, but I only needed 2 to get me full so it was perfect.
Morning Deb, Thanks for coming by. I read my post this morning and saw all the grammar errors. Very embarassed by that but hey, I'm writing like I talk.
Your post has me in stiches about the humming birds and power company. My power goes off a lot but I don't know why. At night is the worst, TV & internet are my night time entertainment as well.
Proud of you for exercising. Hope you have a great visit with you friends.
What brand are the FF B hot dogs? The Warm Delights minis are wonderful (3 feel good points) and no nutritional value at all. They work when I must have something warm and googey (sp?).
BTW I love your new thumbnail pic. How cute.
Wooo hoooo you got some cardio in! That is a huge victory!
I like to keep the warm delight mini's on hand for that cake craving. It's so much better to be able to make one little serving versus the whole cake that I'd tend to eat!
Yaay for cardio!
Thanks for the tip on the fat-free franks. Are those Hebrew National?
I'm a firm believer (translation: nutcase) in having a luscious chocolate-y treat now and then! I like the Hershey's Sticks (60 cals each), but sometimes I have to be careful not to overdo. Other times (like now) I can keep whole boxes of them in the cabinet and not give them another thought. But when I don't feel strong enough to keep chocolate in the house, I stop at the drugstore, which has Lindt Truffles that you can buy by the piece. One piece is $0.45, but it's worth it. Yum!
Hope you have a nice and *powerful* weekend! :)
