Just need to let you all know how much I appreciate your support.
I am so glad Cara talked me into starting my own blog. I kept telling her that she was crazy, that there surely isn't enough in my boring world to blog about. And besides who on earth would want to hear me ramble on about inane stuff but family? Thanks!
Well, you seem to be interested. And your support has really been a God-send to me. I don't know what I would have done all these weeks without all of you to urge me on and make comments about my ramblings. And I so enjoy reading and commenting on your posts too. Thanks!
Most times when I read your posts I do feel inadequate in my writings. You all seem to have so much insight into this healthy life style I have adopted that I don't. And your writings are so funny at times, which I have a hard time doing. Thanks!
You have made me feel like I have so many more friends out there. People that care about me and that is important at my age. Thanks!
And now for some of my ramblings...
I decided I wanted to know more about humming birds and went to a great web sight and read for almost an hour. For the life of me I can't remember the name of it right now, but I learned a lot and refreshed some things that I already knew. One thing I didn't know is that they also eat small insects and spiders. I thought they lived on nectar alone. Well, after reading I have a better understanding and appreciation for the FLOCK that I now have. They are eating or slurping a half gallon a day of sugar water.
To my surprise this mornings weigh-in wasn't as bad as I had expected. I only gained one pound and that is amazing with all the cookies and (now I will confess) chips I have eaten since last Saturday. I'm feeling really lucky it was only a pound at this point. The cookies (and chips) are in the trash. (Sorry Cammy, I'd already thrown them away before I read your suggestion of freezing them, and there where only 5 left anyway.)
Leggies are still a little too sore to get out there and walk today. I'm still having to take one step at a time on the stairs. You know like we used to do when we were toddlers? And besides it's pouring the rain and I might melt :o)
Love you ALL! Thanks!
