Today is going to be just a short jaunt (I hope). We're going to go to the Gesundheit Institute (Patch Adams clinic)
and the local covered bridge.
These are photos I already had in my file and the one of the covered bridge has my loving hubby in it. (Never could get him to stand up straight.)
This has been a full but wonderful week. I am so tired. And I am so off eating plan. I've already gained a pound and a half since my Wednesday weigh-in. :o( I know I can get back on track next week and get really dedicated again but eating off plan for so long has really gotten me to feeling yucky. My choices haven't been really bad ones. Like yesterday for lunch I had an open faced crab salad sandwich (with melted baby Swiss) and fresh melon, and I only ate half the sandwich. Oops I almost forgot, I also had cheesy potato and cabbage soup (not a good choice but I just couldn't resist it). And I'm not telling you what I had for dinner. Then the snack demon visited me again last night and wouldn't leave. We are meeting a friend for breakfast this morning before heading out and I know I won't be good then either (no place around here that offers healthy breakfast choices). Then if my other daughter comes in tonight there will be another breakfast out in the morning. ARGHHH!
It has been really interesting seeing all the sights around me through Cara and granddaughters eyes. I mean, I already knew that I lived in a wonderful place but to see the awe in their eyes and hear their comments makes me stand back and be really thankful that I chose this place to retire. Yea, it does get lonely at times but I like solitude (most of the time).
Gosh my stomach is really growling right now. Does that happen to you when you eat a lot before going to bed?
Gotta go wake the girls up and get them headed toward the shower.
Have a great weekend blog-buds!
A birthday like no other!

Do not stress a little weight gain because I'm sure if you look at it you will find that a pound of weight that you know you can get rid of is well worth it for the time you have gotten to spend with your daughter and granddaughter! Are you drinking enough on all these excursions? It actually could be water weight also!
Once again, the beauty of where you are visiting just blows me away! I'm adding that to my mental file of day trip adventures for my husband and I!!
I always wake up so hungry after binging the night before. Interesting side-effect, isn't it?
Enjoy your day with the girls, Deborah!
You are so nice to drive them around and show them nice sites!
Just have a great time with the family and deal with the weight then they are gone. Have a great weekend. BTW that first picture of the odd looking building is cool.
Ooh! How cool that you got to see the clinic! I love Patch Adams. =)
