Don't need to say much else about the temperature, do I?
My feel bad hurts. Started feeling really bad yesterday around noon. A headache just this side of a migraine and just plain yucky. Thank goodness there wasn't a stomach virus in there too. The headache is gone today but not the yucky feeling. Tried to exercise yesterday, but just couldn't get through the first song. I just rested and napped most of the day. And today is going to be much the same.
I guess it's the way our mother's raised us but I really wanted comfort food yesterday. I wanted tomato soup and grilled cheese. And I could have made that low fat and all but it's just not as good that way and I didn't feel like cooking. I just ate what ever I had in the house that could be heated in the microwave. Late last night the "cookie monster" came a calling. Thank goodness I don't have any cookies in the house so I was able to thwart that demon. (Cookies are definitely my nemesis.) I had fresh strawberries instead and it was just as satisfying. But the rest of the day I didn't do so good. With all the yucky feeling, I was starving all day. I ate more than I should have but maybe my body was needing it more than my head. I'm going to try to get back on plan today, but no promises.
Don't feel much like setting her any longer so I may not get to reading about your world until later in the day.
Have a great TGIF.
A birthday like no other!

Sorry you are not well. Feel better. :)
Sorry you're feeling yucky. Drink plenty of fluids today! Rest and take care of yourself. Good choice on the strawberries!
I can't even begin to imagine how cold it is. Please be kind to yourself, we all need a break sometimes, especially when sick. I don't look upon tomato soup and grilled cheese as anything too awful to eat, I guess it depends how fatty it's made. I always throw wild rice in my soup-thus, it becomes health food!
In all seriousness, feel better. If you really feel guilty about not exercising, some yoga or great stretches always feel good nad get the blood flowing.
YUMMMM Tomato soup and grill cheese. YUMMM glad I don't have the ingredient at home. It was so cold here this morning I could only imagine what it must have been like on you mountain. Stay warm, rest and hope your feeling well soon.
I hope you are feeling much better soon.
As for the grilled cheese...I've been making them with an olive oil butter spread that I make. It is BETTER than regular butter (and no comparison to the low fat butters which just to not work for grilled cheese). The low fat cheeses have improved greatly and melt up quite nice! With some Weight watcher (low cal/high fiber) bread, the olive oil spread and 1 or 2 slices of cheese...you can have a grilled cheese for 3-4 points (depending on how much cheese!)
It's hard to eat right when you are sick - don't beat yourself up over wanting comfort food. I hope you feel better soon!
I totally bombed yesterday and today. I had a massive allergy reaction yesterday, resulting in sinus infection-like symptoms. I took benedryl and demanded a cheeseburger and french fries. The combination knocked me out on my couch at 9:00 pm. Today, I felt better and it required celebration... with benedryl, cheeseburger and french fries. I am currently waiting for the food/medicine coma to overtake me.
Sorry you are feeling yucky. That is the pits. At least you can cuddle up and rest. Take care.
Do you read Vikki's blog? She did a low carb (or lower carb) tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich once.
Seems like a good case of the blah's are going around. It hits me about this time of year too.
P.S. If you don't know Vikki's blog it is...
