Tuesdays Plan...

Since I posted late yesterday there isn't much to talk about today.

My plan for the day is to clean the kitchen and run the sweeper. I hate cleaning house but someone has to do it and I just can't get the dogs trained to do it for me. Durn they are stubborn when it comes to learning new tricks. Oh, and I will walk today too.

I had a really yummy supper yesterday. It's kind of a long story so I'll start at the beginning. I picked up some really thick boneless pork chops a few weeks ago and got some mesquite marinade for them. After soaking them for a couple of hours I grilled one and it was awful. Tough as shoe leather and had a funky taste. So I bagged the rest up separately (still raw) with the marinade and put them in the freezer. Took one out yesterday to thaw and then put it in a pan with lots of water. Basically boiled it for about an hour then made a little homemade BBQ sauce (didn't have any bottled in the house) to pour over them about half way through. It turned out really tender and quite tasty. Had that with a baked potato (with LOL light butter) and a small can of turnip greens.

I really need to go to the store because my cupboards are getting bare but that will have to wait until tomorrow, unless I get a wild hair and trudge out today.

YUMMMMM PORK!! Sounds so good even the canned greens. Thanks for paying me a visit. I laughed out loud at the thought of framing and hanging the picture of our rears. HOW FUNNY!!!! I love the picture of my niece running that was an unexpected joy.

My count down to Israel continues it is one week from today!!!! Folks will probably be bored hearing about it. I'll get more health/weight minded when I return.

Thanks again for the visit. JC

The pork chops sounded yummy, but I haven't had pork since probably last fall. I watched a special on what the pigs eat and I can't bring myself to eating their meat after that. It is good, though.

A couple of people at my WW meeting last week talked about a marinade called "Mojo" (pronounced moho) that is supposed to be spectacular. I saw some the other day in the grocery store in the ethnic spices isle. They said it really helps with the flavor of the meat and is a good tenderizer.

Your homemade bbq sauce is awesome, though! I remember you making that and putting a package of real bologna in a plastic container and letting it marinade all day before we went on a picnic and had yummy sandwiches. It was a little spicy for me, but still yummy.

I haven't had a pork chop in eons. I love them grilled, with just a bit of bbq sauce on them. YummmmMEEE!

Glad to see you're still treating yourself well, eating good and getting some exercise in. That's what it's all about! :)
