Some Ramblings...

Exercised again yesterday!

Ate within my allotted calories!

And that's all I have to say about that!

I've been working on more socks. I have all these partial balls left over from the ones I already made and I'm experimenting. Here's a pic of one I started.

Now all I have to do is remember which balls I used for the stripes and reproduce it on the other sock. Don't think I'll do the rest of them like that. I was looking at a catalog sometime before Christmas and they were selling "mis-matched" socks. Interesting enough, they were way more expensive than the matched ones. Think I will do that with the rest of the partial balls. I don't really need any more socks so maybe my family would like another pair or two. I'm beginning to think that I will just keep on making them because they are so much fun to do.

Started a new book a couple of days ago. It's "Duma Key" by Stephen King and I'm not sure what it will be like yet. It is interesting but so far it is just not like the usual SK novels. His writing has surely changed since his accident. I'll probably be into this one for a while since it is over 700 pages. I've read most everything he's written (pre accident) and I like Dean Koontz too. Have you read DK's "Marley and Me?" I've seen where they made a movie with that title. Wonder if it is based on his book. The book was really a good one and not at all in his regular genre.

Have a great week out there in blog-land.

Sounds like you are doing great with the plan. What accident did S. King have? How long does it take to knit a pair of socks? I can't seem to find a book to read. I don't want to spend money so I keep looking at my own book shelf. I am trying a Nevada Barr book that I read awhile back. I have read all of hers.

well, the socks are beautiful, but that is a lot of work and hours. I guess if you are watching TV or something it is just keeping your hands busy. Still, imagine if you charged 8 dollars an hour...that was all rambling. Thanks for the info about SK. I had not heard about that. Mostly his stuff is just to scary for me. I read it when I was younger, but somehow in my old age I don't care for dark stuff. After my daughter lived in Afghanistan, I had to keep my mind free of dark thoughts. it was to easy to scare myself to death. Kind of hard to explain.

Knew I was forgetting something. I have never been to WV maybe someday. Your pics always look so great.

Good going with your food and exercise today. Thanks for clearing up the dog picture question. You know you could send me a pair of those socks. I think they are absolutely beautiful. Just kidding on the send me a pair but serious on the beautiful part. If they are fun to make and keep you from eating that is a win win in my book.

WOW!
You are doing so great. Keep up the good work. Just got back from the library with four books to start off 2009! Didn't read "Marley & Me" yet, but did see the movie yesterday and really loved it!

You are really rockin' and rollin'! Way to go!

Love the socks! Have you ever considered opening a shop on etsy.com? It might be a good way to use your amazing talents and make a few extra $$$ while you're at it!

(missed you too!)
