Just had to share another "critter" with you. At least this one isn't inside the house. But I was really happy to see it. I have a family of ravens living near the cabin. You can't tell by this picture but they are huge. They are bigger than either of my cats and almost as big as my dogs.
I do enjoy watching them, though. I can sometimes see them flying off my porch and more than once there was something in their mouths. So I'm pretty careful not to leave anything laying around out there that I want to keep. I did catch sight of a clothes pin once.

They do get huge don't they? I think it is the Raven that mates for life. You will have to google to see for sure, but that is cool. Is your bat still there?
Oh, I have never seen a Raven! That's a great picture! I don't think they come to Texas.
they are massive!! and the noise on my quiet sunday mornings!! they are beautiful though, i love how in the light they are all kinds of green, purple and blue too.

Edgar Allen Poe would be envious of your Raven. :) They are huge birds, aren't they? Had a friend get "swooped" by one, and as it passed by her the wing cut a gash in her leg...just like a razor blade.
You must have quite the wildlife emporium there. Never without some sort of critter for company.
My husband and I love to sit in our kitchen and watch the birds...they are just so pretty!!!
