Tears on My Pillow...

Goodness, gracious! Does any one else out there need to make sure the box of tissues is handy when you get ready to watch The Biggest Loser? This is my first season watching the program and it's the first series I've ever watched that has made me cry so much. Have they all been like this? I despise Tara and I think it's because she reminds me of my brother's wife, or does anyone else feel the same?

My eating wasn't so good yesterday, after I went and bragged about how it was going great. I ended up going to bed with a really full stomach and I knew I'd pay for it. I did. NIGHTMARES! It seems that I just can't find what satisfies me and I continue to try to find just the right thing. Maybe it's because I'm just tired of my own cooking. There just isn't any where around here that I can go to have a healthy meal out. Does that mean that I have to have an unhealthy one once in a while to make me stay on track at home? I don't know... I'm really bumfuzzled about this one.

Hope you are having a stellar week!

I am trying to comment without spoilers so here goes.

I don't despise Tara. I like her. I admire her drive and her will to succeed.

Yesterday the way they were editing the show I really did not Aubrey and wanted her to go home. Her rolling her eyes and her gleeful little looks against Tara were really annoying me. I do realize though that they can edit it any way they like to make people look bad.

However, in the end I really did feel for Aubrey because of her struggles with being a mom.

That being said. We moms cannot just use it as an excuse. Plenty of moms don't fall into being unhealthy because of their family obligations. It really is a choice and a situation that is a little tougher than some but not insurmountable.

my husband teared up no less than 3 times during last nights show!

Tara was my favourite until last night when she was so wining so much. Ugh. At the end of the day though, she really gets it. She has found that way to dig down deep. I also felt bad that Aubrey struggles, but...Sparky is right...we all have a struggle of some sort...that's kinda the point, you HAVE to put yourself in the list of things to take care of!! Aubrey could have done herself a huge favour by, instead of rolling her eyes at Tara, talking to her about her drive so that she could maybe find it herself. I so related to Aubrey's at home moment about putting it back on...

Tara was my favorite too until she got so whiny and then cocky last night. She has so much drive it's hard to understand how she ever got so heavy.

I feel bad when (almost) anyone goes home, but when Aubrey went back to her kids - even though she gained, I was glad she was home with her babies. It's such a long time for a mom to be away. I know I couldn't do it.

I haven't watched Biggest Loser this season. And i only caught a couple shows of last season. I used to watch it religiously. I just don't have patience for all the drama and its so unrealistic. But when i first started losing weight you couldn't have pulled me away from the TV. I found it so inspirational and motivating. The last time i really watched it was when Alli won. That was so awesome!
I'm so sorry you are struggling with food. Here you are at maintenance where we all dream of being and it just goes to show the struggle never ends does it? But your strong , you've made it thru a tough winter , You WILL find your way. Find what satisfies you. If it feels like spring go for a walk! Jinx!

I like Tara, but then she doesn't remind me of my sister-in-law (if she did, I wouldn't like her, haha)!

I was shocked that Aubrey gained so much in 2 weeks! That isn't missing workouts; that is overindulging. Looks like she got her wake-up call before too much damage was done, so that's good.

I did think it was horrible to have them choose their trainers in front of them! But at least Filipe and Sione can quit complaining now.

I'm kinda neutral on Tara and Aubrey. It is Helen that is beginning to get on my nerves. A week or so ago it was Filipe with his "I want Bob back" whining. But Helen seems to be getting a little cocky and mean spirited. Both this week and last, she had to be "bleeped" when referring to Tara as "b**ch". That, and she was the ringleader when the group had their luxury day. She started the shots and ordering the most expensive things on the menu. Ok, that's about enough. Sorry for the rant.

Wow, for a short post this one really generated some in depth comments. BL gets on my last nerve because it is the most unrealistic of the reality TV shows. I must admit I was proud of Tara for winning the challenge. I shouted for her. The one I really felt for was Helen. Thoses guy kept piling pounds onto her square and calling her mama at the same time. What is that??? Aubrey, got what she deserved in being sent home with that attitude of hers.

Anyway, as for your eating maybe so. I surrendered to my McDonald's craving yesterday afternoon (big & tasty burger, fries & D.coke and ice cream comb). I expected to be up five lbs this morning but I was only up .4 less than 1/2 lb. Go figure.

Sorry the word is cone not comb.

At this point, I'm watching for the kid, Mike, and that's it. Too much drama for me. While I admire Tara's drive, I don't like her cockiness.

As far as the eating...now, I wouldn't DARE project my own issues on to you ::snerk!::, but some of your comments are very similar to things I've noted about myself. The searching for "just the right thing." To me (self-diagnosis ahead), it seems an awful lot like plain ol' boredom. My solution is always to find something else to do, like go for a walk or bike ride. Even if it's just to go browse the thrift store for an hour or so, I do *something* to get my mind off food. In your case (presumptious of me, I know, but I'll prey on our friendship), I wonder if there's enough to do there that you really enjoy doing. And I wonder how you could change that. Or what you would change.

What are your local restaurant options? If you told us what they offer, maybe we could come up with some healthy options for you (or at least, not deadly otions. :))

I'm so sorry for your struggles just now, but keep in mind that you WILL benefit from it, in the long run. Just keep the faith!

I love The Biggest Loser. I DVR it so I can watch in on Wednesdays. I cry every single time. This is also my first season watching and do not know why I haven't watched earlier. Love it!

I'm with you.....I do not like Tara. I admire her drive...but I do not like her. (and why is she on the show if she has such a drive!!!! People with that sort of motivation willpower just are not the ones that 'end up' on the Biggest loser)

I like Tara overall, but I didn't like how she treated Laura after she came back on the ranch.

That being said, I belive Tara will end up like last seasons winner Ali. The switch is turned on and nothing will stop her until she reaches her goal!

And I cry watching BL, and American Idol, and Extreme Home Makeover, and Hallmark commercials. . . .
