I'm feeling some better. Thanks for all your well wishes. You don't know how much that meant to me.
Don't know about the rest of you but I really miss creamy salad dressing. So, I decided to figure out how I could have some that was light. And I'm not crazy about the bottled stuff. I discovered Carrabba's a couple of years ago and was addicted to their creamy Parmesan dressing. Went searching the web and found a recipe. So I tweaked it to make it healthier. You'll find the recipe here. Now if I could just figure out how to make my Mother's wilted lettuce dressing in the low calorie/low fat format. I don't think that's gonna happen since the main ingredient is bacon grease and I know for a fact that another kind of "good for us" oil wouldn't taste the same. But that doesn't mean I won't try.
The funny thing about this bug I had is that the appetite didn't falter. Sure wish it had a little, just a little. Actually I ate every thing I could get my hands on the first day. That may have been just one of those days that hit me once in a while, oh well.
I did get out of the house a little yesterday in this beautiful weather. Walked all the way from my back door to the garage, taking some stuff out there that had piled up. Then a couple of times I just enjoyed the warmth and sat on the porch while my doggies were doing their business and smelling the wild life that is up and about. I have a really hard time talking them into going out when it is bitter cold out there, just like everyone else does, I'm sure. But I had a hard time keeping them in yesterday. The deer were really abundant yesterday (I saw 8 in one bunch) and they love to set and bark at them. They even chase them a little ways into the woods but they don't get too close or chase them to where ever they go when being chased, thank goodness.
Hope your weekend is going well and you remembered to set your clocks ahead last night (I didn't).
A birthday like no other!

So glad your feeling better. The weather is beautiful here too. And get this! Wed and Thurs they are giving us 50% chance of rain after 8 months of no rain. Halleluah! (sp?) LOL!
We are going to our new health club this afternoon. :P Hubby is playing raquetball and i'm taking a cycling class with a friend. Hee hee i'll let you know how that goes. OOoooh boy! Jinx!
Glad you are some better. Glad you felt like being outdoors enjoying your surroundings. Thanks for the new receipe.
Yay to feeling better! That dressing recipe sounds great - and yes, I was the dressing queen, and really miss it, so I'll def. give yours a try.
I'm shocked that your dogs are content to just bark at the deer - I know Paco would go chasing after them! Glad you're having some nice weather (finally!).
Glad you're feeling better and enjoying the warmer weather!
I bet where you live is AMAZING! Really on a mountain? And deer? Wow, I would love it. We have occasional deer in town but not in groups usually, although we do have wild turkey all over the place.
Glad you're feeling better. I'm with you on the creamy salad dressing. I remember Green Goddess dressing as a kid and wonder if anybody still makes that. I'll have to Google it.
thanks for the reminder. will get Hubby to change clocks in a min - he's eating a handful of chips for now. in front of me. fun.
we're all sick here too. hope you get over yours faster than we are getting over ours.

I so miss that front porch you were sitting on. Hey guys, her house and the mountain she lives on is a Shangri-La! Its everything you'd think it could be and more. A small piece of heaven that God has left on this earth as a reminder of what's to come. Last time I was there was last August. I just can't wait to go back.
Glad to hear you're doing better. David is down with a bad cold, now. I hope I don't get it.
I can't wait to try that recipe. I love creamy Parmesan dressing. Thanks!
Love WV (hubby is from there)...it is beautiful there!
glad you are feeling better!!
this springing forward has thrown me for a tired loop :)
Glad to hear that you are feeling better! I will definitely be trying the dressing. I'm also in love with Carraba's dressing! (alas, I try not to eat it much...)
Glad you got to get out and enjoy the wonderful weather a bit!
Hi Debbie - Thanks for popping by. Glad to hear you're feeling better. Man, I'm glad spring is around the corner. We had a lot of snow over the weekend, but it's nice out - warmer than last month.
