Another One Bites the Dust (craving that is)...

I'm still here. And I'm doing fine. Just taking some time off from blogging once in a while. As you've probably noticed I have been reading and commenting on your blogs. I just don't have much to talk about.

Sure is cold here but thank goodness we haven't gotten the snow that has been predicted. Just a dusting after the "little" ice storm on Wednesday. Glad that wasn't as bad as they said it would be.

Eating has been fine except for yesterday. I was watching something on television and saw french toast. I just had to have some so I jumped up and made myself one slice with some homemade maple syrup. I was terribly disappointed with it and now that it is out of my system I won't be wanting it again for a while if ever. It just amazes me that when I do that I am not satisfied like I thought I would be. Is that happening to you? It seems that my body just doesn't want all that bad stuff anymore. Course I haven't tried my two faves, KFC and Taco Bell Burrito Supreme. I'm kind of afraid to try them because then I won't have anything to dream about.

I'll leave you with this picture that I keep in my mind and on the desktop of my computer.
I'M READY FOR SPRING!!

Ohhh your picture actually had me drooling for spring!!!

You know....my husband and I gave up fast food a few years ago. About a year into our fast foodless state, we had a craving for McDonalds. We got it and within 5 miles we were both sick. LITERALLY sick! This happened to me at Christmas when I went into a Wendy's to use the bathroom and got lured in by the smell...ohh yeah, SICK!...and it also happened at Burger King with my husband.) It turns out that apparently once cleansed of this inferior food, our bodies rebel when we put that food in! Go figure!

Ooh that pic is a beautiful scene. Cro used to live on a mountainside in a cabin. I think that was in Georgia. He had his own little animal rescue up there and kept two retired circus Tigers as well as his "house lynx". I know he misses that cabin. You are lucky to live among such beauty.

I am also ready for spring. They are predicting 4-9 inches of snow starting tonight. I told myself Wednesday night that when I weigh myself Thursday morning and if I lost weight I was going to have the last of the cheese cake. I lost 3 lbs and into the kitchen and threw the cake away. I can't believe I did that. I must be getting better with my food choices. I had fiber one cereal, milk, flax seed and 1/2 cup blueberries. I hope my mindset stays this way. Have a great weekend.

Now that is GREEENN! What we have here is wind. So annoying. I do make myself french toast every now and then...fried with Pam spray and SF fruit spread on it...even so spray butter that is free. Not so bad for you that way.

OH Yes! That has happened to me many times and i try to keep that disappointment fresh in my mind. Many times i'm like " I wasted all those calories on THAT!? Like this week we will be going to the carnival and i'm trying to think what exactly is there i couldn't live without for another year???HHMmmm.....Not sure what i'll do. I'll leave that night open and if if want to splurge i will and if not i won't . The smells can lure you in! And then when you get it your disappointed. Love the picture! I can wait for spring cause summer is just around the corner. Summer comes fast here in West Texas and stays FOREVER! Jinx!

French toast isn't TOO bad. (depends how you make it, I guess or if there's a side of bacon ;)). A fellow HYCer checking out your blog. Nice to meet you! :)

Hope spring is on it's way, too!

First, beautiful picture. Second, unfortunately, when I eat something I'm craving, I just want more and more of it. As far as KFC - I **love** their pot pies and they are so horrible for anyone trying to be healthy, but now that I'm gluten-free, can't go to KFC for anything! Guess that's a good thing! Sometime last year I had a formerly beloved burrito supreme...and it was awful. Truly. I promised myself the next time I wanted a burrito I'd make them at home! :)

I'm ready for spring too!

Interesting how our tastes can change while trying to be healthy.
Have you tried Mizfit's Mishmashed Almost 'Cakes? They are like a pancake but taste a little like french toast. Here is the link to her recipe:

They are to die for and not bad for you! My mom, who avoids all things tinkered with loves them!

I hope things green up for you soon!
